Position Summary:

Responsible for the daily management of the completed schedules for the departments that provide patient care in the clinical patient care areas.

Reports to: Director

FLSA: Non-Exempt

EEO: 05 Administrative Support Workers

ESSENTIAL FUNCTTIONS

Responsible for proactively identifying staffing shortages, (based on the staffing grid or average daily census), on the current completed 6-week clinical schedules. After identification working with Managers, Supervisors, and Clinical Directors to identify solutions.
Proactively identifies staffing needs on the current 6-week schedule (based on ADC or staffing grid) one to two weeks in advance
Responsible for scheduling overtime and supplemental staffing based on current need, projected resignations, leave of absence's etc.
Responsible for actively working to balance schedules daily based on the current needs for the day
Actively works to fill daily needs/shortages based on sick calls or LOA's
Actively works to fill needs/shortages based on 1:1 staffing requirements
Develops a daily staffing plan in conjunction with the Clinical Directors, Managers and Supervisors
Provides and relays information to the staff and leadership in a timely manner

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent
*Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Knowledge of Medical Terminology
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Proficiency with Computer, Fax Machine, Copier, Calculator, Phone
Minimum Work Experience
6 Months Relevant Work Experience (Preferred)
