Job Summary

Minimum rate is $17.46

8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Will vary as needed.


Entrance Attendant Leader functions in the Entrance Attendant role as well as assists with scheduling, coverage, problem solving and training. Entrance Attendants direct traffic flow and provides assistance at the Hospital Entrances. They help with wheel chairs and scooters as needed along with way-finding and assistance to the patient/family's destination.

Essential Functions

  • Leader Duties: Assist Supervisor / Manager with team scheduling and coverage. Participate in hiring interviews as needed. Support problem solving and giving direction to the team when Supervisor/Manager is not present. Train all new Entrance Team members.
  • Present an excellent first impression to all customers by greeting promptly with a warm and friendly reception.

    a. Provide Hospital way-finding for patients and visitors.

    b. Support patient, family, guest information needs, including appropriate hospital resources to assist in problem resolution.

    c. Maintain a clean and tidy entrance space, inside and outside the door.

    d. Maintain professionalism and diplomacy at all times, following specific standards as defined in the department professionalism policy.
  • Perform Service Recovery and conflict resolution for unhappy guests. Work with Service Excellence to support positive outcomes and resolution to customer needs.
  • Assist patients and families in and out of their vehicles as needed at the hospital entrances.
  • Assist with Lost and Found services as needed.
  • Maintain proper traffic controls at entrances to avoid congestion and prohibit illegal parking. Work with the Security & Valet teams as needed.
  • Assist with cab, bus vouchers and other transportation as needed.
  • Utilize effective communication skills to incorporate specific age, culture and developmental needs.

Qualifications

  • Required High School Diploma
  • Required Completion of department based training with demonstrated competence.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and superior interpersonal skills. Required
  • CRT-At least one Certification from preferred list - UNKNOWN Unknown Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association preferred Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross preferred
