SEMCO - Summer Student Program 2024 (Field Operations Only)
SEMCO Energy provides meaningful summer employment to qualified students based on the Company's business needs. Placement is based on the student's college rank, qualifications, career goals, prior relevant work experience, and performance evaluation.
Eligibility for summer employment will be determined as follows:
* The student must be between the ages of 18 and 25.
* The student must plan to be enrolled as a full-time student for the 2024 fall semester, preferred. (SEMCO will consider students not enrolled in college)
* The student must be driving and possess a valid driver's license for at least a year and be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Safe Driving Policy.
* The student must be a child of an active employee, disabled employee, retiree, or referral.
* Only one student per eligible employee or retiree will be hired as a summer employee annually.
* A maximum of 4 years of employment is available for each eligible student.
(These last three restrictions may be waived based on business needs or geographic availability.)
Base hourly rate is based on college rank, either $15.00 or $16.00 per hour.
