Job Description

Position Summary: The Prep Cook supports the kitchen in all aspects of meal preparation, service and clean up.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Help prepare all meals as assigned by lead kitchen staff
  • Assist in meal line serving and supply including using proper portioning utensils
  • Assist with receiving, verifying and proper storage of food orders daily
  • Clean and sanitize all areas in the kitchen including storage, prep, and cooking areas also taking out trash
  • Wash all used items, put away when dry
  • Wash, dry and fold kitchen laundry
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Previous food service experience preferred

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Computer Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
  • Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
  • Willingness to learn new software as needed

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
