Job Description

Guardian Glass is looking for an Environmental, Health, and Safety Coordinator to join our team at our float glass facility in Carleton, MI!

In this role you will utilize your broad environmental, health and safety knowledge to assist in building sustainable systems. Ideally you will bring a strong environmental background, coupled with EHS manufacturing experience. This position balances Safety and Environmental with a 70% focus on safety and a 30% focus on environmental.


What You Will Do

  • Ensure compliance with all issued permits, with a heavy focus on air permit requirements
  • Maintain required records for all environmental media
  • Assist in the development of a safety management system
  • Update existing and develop new EHS training programs
  • Conduct and review safety audits, hazard assessments and hazardous waste inspections
  • Ability to review environmental concerns related to permitting activities for water, air and waste

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience working in a manufacturing/Industrial environment


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Safety, Environmental, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
  • EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience leading and developing EHS initiatives and programs
