Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting activities and coordinating the month end and year end close activities for the Company.
Job Duties:
- Leads the month end close process including accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, lease accounting, cash management and bank reconciliations, etc.
- Prepares and communicates the monthly and annual close calendar for the Company and coordinates close activities for the team
- Reviews and approves monthly journal entries and account reconciliations and ensures the accuracy of financial records
- Ensures the application of proper accounting policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP); coordinates discussions with the Assistant Controller and Corporate Controller on GAAP considerations
- Assists the FP&A team in preparing annual budget items included depreciation and amortization, lease expense, and capital expenditures
- Supports the Assistant Controller in completion of external audits of the Company
- Interfaces with Financial Systems team on development of financial reports, improvement to financial processes, and issue resolution
- Reviews/prepares ad hoc reports and analysis, as needed
- Other duties as required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Leads the Accounting & Close team within the overall Accounting team, inclusive of Senior Accounting Analyst and Accounting Analyst positions as well as India support positions
- Monitors and provides performance feedback of direct reports throughout the performance year
- Ensures team members are effectively trained on systems and processes related to the Finance Department
- Provides guidance to the team with prioritization of workload, communications, etc. and delegates work assignments to the team as appropriate
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, required
Experience:
- Five (5) or more years of general accounting and/or financial reporting and analysis experience, required
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures, required
- Three (3) or more years of management experience, preferred
- Experience with a Public Accounting Firm as experienced Senior or Manager level, preferred
- Experience with a multi-entity company, preferred
License/Certifications:
Software:
- Advanced in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, required
- Experience using PeopleSoft Financials, preferred
- Experience using OneStream, preferred
- Experience using Oracle Cloud, preferred

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range: $110,000 - $125,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $110,000 - $125,000
