GENERAL SUMMARY:
The PC Systems Assistant is responsible for:
* Supporting Community Care Services (CCS) leadership and staff in the use of personal computers and/or systems by providing technical assistance.
* Performs a variety of system functions such as installation and configuration of LAN and WAN network hardware, mobile devices, printers and software in a Windows and Citrix environment.
Reports to the Leader of Network Support Services.
EDUCATION:
* Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED and one year of computer systems experience.
* College coursework geared toward information systems with an Associate's degree or IT certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
* Must possess thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system and an introductory knowledge of Active Directory; some familiarity with electronic applications in the health care industry is preferred.
* Requires an introductory knowledge of basic networking technologies.
* Requires an ability to perform independently and, under general direction, assume responsibility for specific tasks and outcomes and exercise appropriate judgment, when required.
* Requires strong analytical ability, combined with good organizational skills, with a propensity for thoroughness and attention to detail.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to effectively relate at all levels with users, senior leadership, IT professionals and vendors are required.
