Job Description

We are looking for an IT Support Technician to work at our client's site located in Bridgman, MI for a full-time contract position. In this position you will provide day-to-day on-site support for our clients' campus. You are some that possess a passion for customer service, ability to organize and prioritize with a focus on safety. As an IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for managing hardware deployment/installation and troubleshooting equipment issues. You have the ability to move about the client's campus between buildings (office and industrial) which would include being out in weather elements when traversing. Some local travel maybe required to off-site facilities. We are looking for local candidates only.

Job Details and Essential Job Functions:

  • Installing, reclaiming and fixing desktops, laptops and other computer peripherals.
  • Assist with lifecycle of computers, new user PC requests, testing of images and patches, break-fix hardware support
  • Providing support both desk-side and remote; able to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Ability to work with deadlines and complete tasks on-time.
  • Help maintain IT inventory.
  • Knowledge of basic administration including imaging, installations, and configurations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues with systems and networks using good deductive reasoning skills.
  • Create end-user documentation.
  • Ensuring tickets are created, maintained, and resolved according to established standards and expectations.
  • Prioritize and schedule tasks. Escalate problems (when required) to appropriate resources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Associate degree in computer science, electrical/electronics engineering and/or technology or related field of study; or technical degree/certificate in related field, or High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to lift/move equipment weighing up to 50 Lbs.
  • Windows O/S, Microsoft Office and ServiceNow knowledge.
  • IT Customer service experience including technically proficient and experienced in providing IT support.
  • Basic understanding of IP telephones, printers and conference room audio/video.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Valid state issued driver's license.
  • Be able to pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana as well as CBD oil), and employment testing.
  • Are a candidate local to the area.
