This Physical Security Coordinator position starts at $24.03 per hour with an annual award opportunity based off individual and credit union performance. As a Physical Security Coordinator, you will work with both internal and external members to take a guide role in managing risk for our physical assets. While Acting with Integrity, Keeping People at the Core, Driving Progress and Building and Strengthening Relationships you will serve as the main point of contact for building security, business continuity, business impact analysis and crisis management. You will work directly with all departments to ensure buildings are secure and safe. In addition to property risk duties, this role will drive progress through the coordination of all projects with our security vendor. Role to provide administrative aid to the branches and internal departments for all physical security and crisis management related activities.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor all video, card access and alarm systems for any outages. Prioritize and coordinate all repairs for security equipment with the security vendor.
  • Act as the main point of contact for physical security on all credit union locations.
  • Maintain and update all contracts, procedures and policies relating to physical security, crisis management and any disaster recovery items.
  • Manage and coordinate all security initiatives with security vendor and internal departments.
  • Pull footage for all crisis management related events in order to meet compliance obligations.
  • Provide administrative aid to the branches and internal departments for all physical security and crisis management related activities.
  • Provides documentation for Crisis Management events: including Business Continuity Plan events and tabletop discussions or testing.
  • Prioritize and ensures completion of all physical security audits according to compliance standards.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriotic Act and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Requirements

Experience

A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.


Education/Certification/Licenses

A high school degree or equivalent.


Physical Requirements

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.


Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise, as well as outside in various degrees of heat and cold.


Mental and/or Emotional Requirements

Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
