Base Pay Range: $71,300.00 - $121,200.00 Annually

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Responsibilities

Procurement Buyer for indirect goods and services, leading all aspects of procurement related activities, such as processing purchase requisitions, creating SAP purchase orders, building and maintaining supplier relationships, contract negotiation, requesting quotes for new and existing suppliers, and perform data analytics to increase process efficiency. Work with internal clients to assist with the purchasing process.

  • Source, buy and fulfill orders across all indirect procurement categories
  • Sourcing mid-range projects ($25K - $100K) with a strategic attitude. Focus heavily on data-driven results for purchases below $5K by identifying preferred suppliers
  • Work to reduce number of low-spend suppliers and focus on forming relationships with key suppliers that are capable of providing bulk products to speed up execution
  • Help drive procurement standard processes across KLA
  • Evaluate suppliers on the basis of the price, quality, and speed of delivery of their products and services
  • Prepare and assist internal clients with submission of RFQ's or other informational requests to suppliers
  • Troubleshoot and ensure problems relating to delivery, quality or pricing are promptly conveyed to the supplier and resolved in a timely manner
  • Lead contract negotiations
  • Understand the vendor master, requisitioning and purchasing applications/processes and assist internal clients on how to efficiently use them
  • Work with the Strategic Sourcing team to help drive early client engagement
  • Give innovative ideas to drive improvements in process efficiency, procurement strategies, policies and procedures and cost reduction
  • Collaborate with internal clients and procurement team members to effectively identify alignments and profit optimization opportunities, and drive the opportunities to completion
  • Assist in preparing presentations by gathering information, data, and creating charts
  • Work with Offshore Procurement Organization to drive process efficiency across the organization
  • Maintain positive, effective relationships with suppliers and internal customers
  • Effectively prioritize workload to achieve optimum efficiencies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five years of experience in a procurement environment, especially indirect procurement. Specific semiconductor industry or capital equipment proven experience is a plus
  • Indirect procurement purchasing, sourcing and contract negotiation capability
  • Must have excellent written and oral communications skills and be comfortable coordinating tasks across multiple functions and global locations
  • Must be able to quickly learn new concepts, processes and systems
  • Ability to create and apply company policies and procedures to resolve issues
  • Ability to effectively partner, influence and lead projects and programs
  • Creative problem solver, with a desire and ability to look for better ways to approach issues and situations
  • Excellent program management and project management skills
  • The candidate is required to be a great teammate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
  • Proficient SAP experience is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • BS/BA Business or related field with preferred concentration in Operations or Supply Chain Management

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years' and a Master's degree
  • Excellent understanding of procurement processes, concepts and best practices
  • Understanding of strategic sourcing, category management, contract management and supplier management
  • Excellent customer service, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively present information to executive management, internal clients and suppliers
  • Microsoft Office applications proficiency
  • Understanding of procurement technology platforms
  • SAP or similar system experience
