The Levy Group of Companies is seeking an Aggregate Distribution Coordinator. This person plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of aggregate material quality, providing robust support to our inside sales team, and ensuring the seamless functioning of our distribution yard operations. Collaborating closely with the General Manager, this role is instrumental in upholding our commitment to excellence in every facet of our distribution process.

Responsibilities
The Aggregate Distribution Coordinator will:

  • Assist in managing and implementing all safety policies and procedures, ensuring employees understand and adhere to such policies and procedures
  • Focus on key ready mix, asphalt and concrete paving accounts and will ensure quality assurance protocols are being met
  • Assist customers in identifying needs in the field to ensure successful delivery and usage of aggregate products
  • Perform the necessary audit testing of aggregates to ensure products meet specifications and requirements for the specific project
  • Review and analyze data to identify product quality concerns
  • Interface between the Levy sales team and the quality lab to help meet customer requirements
  • Facilitate the resolution of customer field testing issues
  • Support and occasionally fill in as distribution yard facilities officer to greet and oversee vessel offloading at the dock
  • Support and occasionally fill in as distribution yard scale operator to facilitate efficient loadout of product
  • Assist in managing all environmental policies and regulations
  • Assist in managing equipment maintenance
  • Perform all jobs in a safe and secure manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager

Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience and knowledge in bulk material distribution management, applications, and distribution - preferably aggregate, concrete and asphalt
  • Aggregate Level I & II Certification or be willing to obtain
  • TWIC security level with Coast Guard and TSA or be willing to successfully obtain
  • Ability and willingness to learn to operate customer scales and distribution yards
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with initiative to independently start projects and the analytical ability to identify and solve problems effectively
  • Ability to effectively lead and inspire a group of individuals, fostering a collaborative and goal-oriented environment
  • Computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office Suite, product, or tracking/distribution software
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk for an extended period of time, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work outside for an extended period, and tolerate noise and temperature variations
  • Ability to travel and have a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record
