This position offers the chance to work on diverse projects, collaborating and partnering with others in a design-led atmosphere.  This is a position is based in Kalamazoo, MI headquarters and is a hybrid role which requires you to be in office on a weekly.

How You Contribute:

  1. Possess detailed knowledge of categories, products and markets in order to successfully lead product development market launches and product lifecycle marketing management for this role’s respective and assigned category and products. This includes, but is not limited to, market and competitive analyses; strategic planning; messaging and communications development; resource management (internal and external) for photo shoots, graphic design, copywriting, analytics, etc.
  2. Management of internal and external communications in support of the above, as it applies to the following:
    1. Web site content development and updates
    2. Search engine optimization and search engine management
    3. Digital and printed collateral
    4. Digital and printed advertising for specific lighting trade publications
    5. eBlast communications
    6. Public relations
    7. Social media – paid and organic
    8. Ongoing analysis and reporting of metrics applicable to the above
    9. Events programming and Sponsorship management
    10. Design award submissions
    11. Copywriting project management with external vendors
    12. Internal training presentations to support the Sales Team, Lighting Customer Service and Lighting Support teams.
    13. Internal announcements and trainings
  3. Supporting corporate marketing initiatives as part of the annual strategic marketing plan, from strategic development through execution
  4. Managing all strategies and tactics to budget
  5. Manage Social Media Calendar and Execution for Marketing Department
  6. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires close partnership and collaboration across Product, Engineering, Business Development, Lighting Support and Design to optimize successful execution of new products.
  7. Work with and oversee Marketing Specialist and/or Marketing Coordinator in business segment to ensure successful execution of projects and timelines.

Qualifications / Criteria for Success (OnTRAC; Organizational Success, Trust, Respect, Accountability, Competence):

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field and 5 years’ experience.  Highly collaborative team player. Relative experience in all aspects of marketing communications and product management for marketing programs or equivalent experience and/or training and education would be a plus. Requires an attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.  Strong computer background in Windows environment; experience with Apple products, Word, Photoshop, Excel and Contact management software a plus.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

While performing these duties the individual is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.  Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Travel beyond the corporate office may be required 2-10 times per year.  The work environment is moderate (hybrid; office and remote).
