Design/Systems Engineer
Healthmark Industries Company was founded in 1969 and employs over 300 people and is a growing company. We strive to provide customers with quality products and support services in a timely and effective manner.
We are seeking a highly skilled Design/Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Scientific or Engineering Field, preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Biomedical. The candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in medical or automotive design and/or systems engineering, with experience in risk management/FMEA being a benefit.
What You'll Do:
  • Participates in, and at times, lead projects involving the design, fabrication, validation, and manufacture of medical devices and other healthcare-related instruments, including subassemblies, systems, or processes
  • Analyzes, develops, and recommends design approaches required to meet design and production requirements for new, modified, or enhanced instruments
  • Provide technical support to other Healthmark functional areas, including Business Development, Quality, R&D, and Manufacturing
  • Compiles and evaluates design and test data, prepares technical specifications, and determines appropriate limits and variables for product/material specifications
  • In-step with Quality, Design Engineer analyzes product requirements and other technical specifications to determine if product is performing to requirements; this includes performing risk analysis activities
  • Achieve best practices that meet medical device industry standard, including design control and documentation
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Healthmark QMS
About You:
  • Proficiency in technical documentation and oral and written communication skills
  • 2+ years in medical or automotive design and/or systems engineering, experience with risk management/FMEA a benefit
  • Familiar with regulatory requirements for the medical device industry, particularly working experience in design control
  • Capable of effectively interfacing with cross-functional team members in achieving common goals
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects at once
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Scientific or Engineering Field, preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Biomedical
