As a Quality Co-Op at American Axle & Manufacturing, Inc. ("AAM") Fraser, you will be afforded the opportunity to work side-by-side our skilled professionals to assist in the operations of our organization. This role has the potential to expose you to multiple areas, including customer quality assurance, supplier quality and quality lab duties. Tasks and projects will be assigned based on your educational level, current skills, targeted development opportunities in line with current business and projected needs.Job Description
- Conduct a variety of general administrative tasks as assigned
- Support Quality department with various assigned duties
- Timely communication of project status and relevant issues
- Shainin problem solving projects
- Troubleshooting / Root cause analysis
- Statistical Process Analysis
- LPA Tracking
- Quarterly Job Instruction Review Reports
- Plant Quality Board
- Supplier DM Tracking
- Plant PPM & Customer Complaint Reports
- Daily Internal Scrap, DM reports
- Q4 Support / Continuous Improvement Projects
- Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the ability to learn other programs used by various departments
All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Education
Must be enrolled as a full-time student from an accredited college or university in an undergraduate or graduate degree program. Must also be able to present evidence of academic excellence. Working toward a degree in Engineering. Available to work 35-40 hours/week. Prefer students with two (2) years availability as Co-Op and in good academic standings
