The successful candidate will provide teaching and classroom support in the Brookside Lower School first-grade classrooms. They will serve as a Teaching Assistant to the first-grade team providing support in the implementation of the daily programs under the direction of the first-grade teachers. The selected candidate will be expected to assist teachers in the preparation of materials, supplies and set-up of the daily classroom learning environment. Preference will be given to candidates that have professional training and experience in the fields of Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Elementary Education.

The successful candidate will have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, maintain and respect confidentiality and be able to relate well to children and team members. Responsibilities must be fulfilled in accordance with Cranbrook Schools' mission.

This is a part-time position working 27.5 hours per educational week following the academic calendar for the 2024-25 academic year, beginning on August 19, 2024. There are two openings for this position.
