BestChoice- RN-Central Float Pool L&D
Full Time (36 hours/week) Days

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The RN- Central Float Pool is regularly scheduled to rotate between three (3) hospitals, with commitment to work every other weekend; one summer holiday; one winter holiday; two hard-to-fill dates; and two Monday and three Fridays per 6-week schedule. Works shifts may be redeployed up to one hour prior to shift start due to changing staffing needs. Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

* Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting for Labor & Delivery area of interest.

* Willingness to float to multiple locations across the System.

* Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

* Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

* Current licensure to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse.

* Current BLS, NRP and Fetal Monitoring Certificate (NCC or PQF) where required.
