Job Description

Your Role

As a Technical Designer at Gensler, you will collaborate with a team of architects and designers to develop design solutions as well as coordinate the design through the construction administration phase of a project. Your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with a focus on project delivery and an understanding how to produce functionally beautiful designs. You will drive delivery of a project, collaborate with office and regional technical leaders, and develop delivery and process improvement strategy. What You Will Do

  • Work with the Design Director(s) and project team(s) on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production

  • Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions

  • Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and assist in construction drawings

  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination

  • Participate in office culture and initiatives

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited school

  • 0-3 years of experience

  • Knowledge of Revit, Adobe Suite, and Rhino required

  • Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas

  • Knowledge of InDesign, SketchUp, Grasshopper, Parametric Modeling, a plus

  • Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development

  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly

  • A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skills

  • LEED accreditation a plus
