Description

As a CMM Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in measuring parts and components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control, metrology, and CMM programming.

What You'll Do:

  • Operate Hexagon portable CMM arm with touch and laser scanners using Polyworks software (or similar equipment and software).

  • Prepare inspection plans based on part geometry, tolerances, GD&T and functional requirements for optimum performance and accuracy.

  • Create, correlate, maintain, and revise CMM programs of various sizes and complexity.

  • Provide data and visual reports for team members or customers.

  • Travel between divisions in Holland and Stevensville MI. Travel to out of state and to customer sites ~10%.

  • Successfully execute assigned projects as measured by cost, quality, timing, and customer satisfaction.

  • Direct Supervision of others as assigned, including direct reports and supplier relationships.

  • Review performance and productivity data to identify areas needing program improvement.

  • Drive process improvements in their work area to optimize efficiency.

  • Sets employee and supplier expectations, provides feedback and coaching as needed.

  • Establishes and maintains a teamwork culture through leadership, experience, positive attitude, encouragement, and training. Strives to achieve the highest level of performance from team members, customers and suppliers as it relates to their individual abilities.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and future customers and suppliers.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in CMM programming and operation

  • Proficiency in CAD software and metrology tools

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities

  • Quality management certification is a plus
