AFSVision Program Manager

The AFSVision Program Manager is responsible for delivery of Enterprise programs, program management methodologies/processes, tools, and metrics. Specifically, this Program Manager will have oversight of the Commercial Loan Servicing Modernization initiatives which has extreme complexity and strategic importance. The AFSVision Program Manager will be responsible managing the project through 18 technical and non-technical workstreams, over 2+ years, across multiple lines of business (Commercial Bank, Payments, Credit, Finance, Tech and Ops), spanning 2100 users across the enterprise, interfacing with 90+ applications and databases for payments, fraud, reporting, security, and compliance, and is transforming the servicing of Comerica's $45 Billion Commercial portfolio across multiple loan types. The project has a complicated ecosystem with multiple business lines, high operational risk, high financial exposure, and high control needs. The Program Manager is expected to provide expert leadership, instruction, and direction to all team members as well as regularly communicate with executive leadership. The AFSVision Program Manager must have capabilities not only in Project Execution but specific knowledge in the Commercial Loan Servicing ecosystem and related complexities to be able to connect the dots, bring the right parties together and problem solve, and keep multiple parts moving along as one program.

Position Responsibilities:

Project Execution/Risk Management
  • Provide expert leadership and oversight to a highly complex, visible, and large budget program and bring to successful completion on time, on budget and delivering project business benefits.
  • Provide expert management of risk management plans to decrease the probability and impact of events adverse to the project.
  • Provide awareness on the connection points for the delivery and execution of aligned projects.
  • Provide appropriate communication for integration effort that may require adjustment to products planned for each project.
  • Manage conflicting projects, environments, and team and recommend appropriate sequencing/mitigation plan.
  • Managing complex multi-function delivery relationships with executive leadership, establish relationships of trust with management and colleagues; and driving consensus across the organization on difficult topics.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiation and reconcilement of vendor invoices and hold vendor accountable to cost/schedule/quality deliverables. Effectively manage vendor code release management.
  • Interact with executive leadership (COO, CCO, CBO, CIO, CTO, SVP and EVP) on a regular basis for program status communication, financial updates, and project sponsor mentoring of their roles/responsibilities.
  • Support release and change management processes as well as integration with corporate processes.
Resource Planning
  • Select contractor resources for projects and lead contractor project management staff.
  • Mentor project team members and provide a role model for individual development.
    Identify areas of development in project team members and communicate performance
  • improvements and coach towards improvement.
  • Mentor and encourage skill development of project team members.
  • Provide performance review feedback and development recommendations for project team members to their managers.
Financial Management
  • Manage to the financial budget and schedule established for the program.
  • Employ expert financial acumen with proper financial forecasting and create financial reports for executive leadership communication.
  • Review and approve the program budget updates and maintenance.

Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university OR 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • 10 years of experience working in a team setting to deliver projects
  • 8 years of experience with project management including managing highly complex projects/programs
  • 6 years of experience with project management and resource planning tools building and executing actionable
  • 5 years of experience effectively executing concurrent projects of varying size, cost, technologies, complexity, and risk
  • 4 years of experience with project management with AFSVision projects

8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday (This position offers a hybrid work model that includes onsite and remote days as determined by the manager.)
