Job Description

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Mopar Service, Parts & Customer Care Organization is currently seeking a highly skilled, solutions-oriented Product Development Manager to join the team, in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with various business activities and team members to capture and document the business requirements for new applications, new features, or enhancements to existing applications
  • Work with FCA activities, suppliers, and other team members to manage the software development and deployment activities to ensure successful and timely project completion
  • Develop validation and user acceptance test plans to insure application quality and compliance with business requirements
  • Annual budget responsibility; evaluate project invoices for accuracy and approval and ensure budget forecast remains balanced and on-track
  • Manage all activities associated with conducting a pilot and production roll out of service technology programs to the dealer network
  • Work with other activities to manage key performance indicators and activities for the service technology applications including tracking enrollments, program/feature utilization metrics and dealer support metrics
  • Coordinate with other program activities to define production training content and other deployment requirements to insure program success
  • Participate in the development of marketing/communication, enrollment and pricing strategies for all service technology programs and other related support activities
  • Work cross-functionally with organizations within Mopar to identify integration opportunities geared toward enhancing the FCA customer experience
  • Benchmark and evaluate the competitive landscape for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Communicate program status and participate in field awareness training and coordinate dealer forums/conferences
  • Engage with business center personnel to handle dealer inquires and escalations
  • Manage dashboard reporting for all service technology programs
  • Monitor dealer health/usage and identify proactive outbound dealer support opportunities

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technologies
  • Minimum 5 years of project/product management experience
  • Experience with software development and the software development lifecycle
  • Experience in managing and developing software application validation plans
  • Experience leading teams and working with both internal and external partners
  • Strong business acumen, analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast pace work environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management related to the development and deployment for software applications to automotive dealerships.
  • Familiarity with dealership operations including technician and service advisor work flow activities
  • Vehicle CAN BUS diagnostics experience
