We are currently looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to perform activities for assigned projects, provide independent assurance and appropriate visibility to the project team that work products meet defined quality criteria; that project team activities conform to the defined common processes and approved project plans. The Software Quality Assurance Analyst will work out of our Troy, Michigan location.

Responsibilities and duties

• Support developing project quality assurance plans
• Coordinate and track quality assurance activities with project team plans
• Perform quality assurance assessments and audits
• Document and track to closure non-conformances
• Provide mentoring and training to project teams
• Report project quality assurance activities and results
• Report quality assurance metrics, and trends
• Review and improvement of Aptiv common process, methods and templates

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Systems Engineering
• 3+ years of experience working on Engineering development teams as a Systems Engineer or Software Engineer

Nice to haves (preferred qualifications)

• Familiar with development process capability maturity models (Automotive SPICE, CMMI)
• Familiar with Quality Management Systems (IATF 16949 / ISO 9001)
• Engineering Quality Assurance experience
• Automotive SPICE or CMMI assessor qualified
• IATF 16949 qualified
• ISO 26262 (or Safety) trained
• Experience working in the Automotive industry
