The Propulsion Sub-System Simulation Engineer is responsible for sub-system data management and integrity as well as evaluation of sub-system impact on fuel economy, acceleration performance, capability (e.g. trailer tow) and drivability for new powertrains and vehicles using computer modeling techniques and test data analysis. The Simulation Engineer interfaces with the sub-system design team to obtain component attributes and ensure quality input data to drive simulation accuracy. The Simulation Engineer will validate the sub-system input data using physics principals and confirm simulation behavior based on the provided attributes. The Simulation Engineer is responsible for communication of results in oral presentations and written reports to Chief Engineers, COEs, Component Engineers and others including Powertrain management.
