REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
-GMAW (hard wire) on carbon steel
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
-FCAW (flux core) and GTAW (tig) welding
-GMAW (hard wire) on metals other than carbon steels
-Fabrication of structural weldments
-able to read prints
-able to read and follow Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS)
-basic knowledge of weld symbols
Ability to be trained in
-Welder Workmanship and Visual Inspection of welds in a classroom and shop environment.
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED/SPECIAL NOTES:
Experience or coursework in basic math, basic blueprint, basic crane operations and rigging.
Minimum 1-year welding experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to Lift, Push or Pull up to 25 lbs individually and/or up to 50 lbs as a team
Long periods of standing, crouching, kneeling, and climbing
