Job Description

This is an open recruitment for Construction Manager.

The Construction Manager performs the construction management function on projects. Will manage daily activities of a construction project (and sometimes multiple construction projects) and ensure they are completed within the period of time, budget and scope of work as assigned. This position is considered to be a mid-level management position and will have the responsibility to supervise field personnel associated with the project. Higher levels will provide coaching and mentoring on construction related topics including maintaining the highest quality on projects, industry standards and safety practices. Will also need to contribute to marketing the Firm positively to secure additional work and future business from new clients. Desired competencies include: willingness to learn and ability to receive direction and instruction. The successful candidate adheres to company policy, works well with others and is a motivated, self-starter who can work on multiple tasks and priorities within a fast paced environment. Prior relevant experience in construction is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience

1. High School Diploma and Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited University or degree in construction management or related field. Experience may be used to substitute Bachelor's Degree.

2. Proven and applied knowledge of appropriate codes, laws and regulations.

3. Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience and proficiency in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control and production of all phases of construction, for varied project types. 4.

12+ years of progressive Construction experience including familiarity with construction activities like scheduling, ordering, quality control, and production.

5. Proven ability to supervise others and work independently with minimal supervision.

6. Other certifications may be required (e.g. CCM Certification or DOT Certification of Qualification) depending on the project type.

7. A demonstrated ability to manage multiple project assignments with experience in all phases of construction, for varied project types.
