JOB DESCRIPTION

Operates overhead cranes and hoists.

Can read and interpret drawings.

Loads and unloads parts from robotic cell.

Under limited supervision, setup, and operate Robotic Weld Cell to weld components.

Apply basic knowledge of welding theory and procedures and basic mathematics.

Utilizes basic power tools such as grinder, sanders, die grinders, ect.

Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, attachments, accessories, and materials on welding fixtures or worktables as required.

Operates and observes robot to detect malfunctions or non-conforming conditions.

Operates welding robot on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.

Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly, using jigs, fixtures, surface plate, surface table, and hand tools.

Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications.

Visually inspects to maintain quality records with minimum supervision.

Follows all safety procedures and wears safety equipment or apparel as required.

Performs all job functions to meet acceptable quality and performance standards.

Performs daily maintenance and cleaning of machines and work cell.

Confers with engineers, production supervisor, or others to resolve welding or robot operation problems.

Responsible for executing and supporting the quality system and procedures in the effort for continuous improvement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

This is an entry level position. Applicants must be able to weld/fabricate components to customer supplied specifications. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have good communication skills, and be able to work cooperatively with line managers and employees.
