Fraud Supervisor - Berrien Springs (full-Time)
This is a Hybrid Work Eligible position. You may be required to come into the Operations Center in Berrien Springs, MI as needed to ensure business needs are met.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Are you a fraud/compliance leader in the financial industry space? Do you have experience and a passion for identifying areas of potential risk in products and systems? If this sounds like you APPLY TODAY!
  • Supervises the activities of the Fraud team to proactively minimize loss, mitigate fraudulent issues, analyze reports, and to investigate all system alerts.
  • Responsible for the development and administration of the Fraud program.
  • Creates, implements, and oversees department quality control efforts to ensure work is accurate, complete, and timely.
  • Makes recommendations for process improvements related to the detection, prevention and reporting of fraud.
  • Handles escalations, works with law enforcement, and determines the appropriate course of action for fraud investigations.
  • Optimizes the organization's fraud system capabilities and reporting to proactively identify and evaluate trends.
  • Communicates issues to the organization.
  • Coaches, develops, trains, and mentors the staff to achieve their goals and objectives.
  • Ensures that the Fraud team conducts business according to the Credit Union brand, mission, vision, and values.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
  • A College degree is required; or an equivalent combination of training and work experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Five to eight years of similar or related experience.
  • Demonstrated history of success in leading a fraud team and conducting fraud investigations.
  • Proficient with Verafin.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to keep finances in order.
  • Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong project management skills, well-organized and have an excellent eye for detail.
