Digital Workplace Strategy Consultant


The position will lead and/or support strategic initiatives within the technology digital workplace environment. This position will provide strategic guidance on end user technology platforms focused on enhancing productivity and engagement. This will require staying abreast of emerging industry trends in digital workplace solutions to provide insights and thought leadership in developing and recommending opportunities that enable and advance the overall colleague experience. Additionally, this role has a critical focus on end user compute governance. This will require engagement with business teams on end user developed applications to validate standards are followed and proper governance is being followed.

This position will act as a liaison with business partners and technology in the execution of end user compute support activities and initiatives. This position will work closely with senior leaders across the Technology and Operations organization to drive business objectives. This position will need a solid understanding of several solutions including:

  • End User Compute PowerApps Platform Administration and Governance
  • Digital Signage, Media, and Content delivery platforms
  • Physical Collaboration Device Coordination and Teams Platform Enhancements
  • End User Technology Governance and Lifecycle management


Position Responsibilities:

Strategic Consulting and Collaboration

  • Collaborate strategically with technology leadership and partners across the organization.
  • Responsible for meeting with stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Leads efforts to take cross-functional teams through ideation of best-in-class strategies.
  • Participate in collaborative and strategic sessions with technology leadership to document challenges and opportunities that would then turn into executable plans.
  • Use experience to identify key teams needed to participate in strategic initiatives that leads to success.

Strategic Planning

  • Responsible for collaborative and dynamic planning efforts that set strategies to achieve Comerica and Technology OKRs.
  • Responsible for the development of executable plans for medium sized strategic initiatives.
  • Synthesize disparate information from various groups to craft executable plans for strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and ensure commitment to repeatable cadence of monthly deliverables to ensure timely prep, review and finalization.

Strategic Execution and Governance:

  • Design and develop dashboards, reports and strategies to perform analysis and modeling in support of the organization's goals and improved performance.
  • Responsible for ensuring the team identifies and tracks actions aligned to Comerica's Risk Policy.
  • Responsible for ensuring quality of deliverables meet or exceed risk tolerance.
  • Lead team in executing medium sized strategic initiatives that span multiple Technology departments.
  • Leads the team in identifying insights based on the analysis of data to aid in business decision capability.
  • Works with suppliers adhering to the tenants of the Corporate Supplier Relationship Management program.

Management and Leadership:

  • Direct team members so that work is optimized for most effective output.
  • Mentor team members in best practices and identify opportunities to help them develop further.
  • Drive team to action accountability ensuring commitments are met with high quality.

  • Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Communication, or other relevant area OR High School/GED and 10 years Progressive Relevant Experience
  • 5 years of experience as a strategy consultant or similar role
  • 5 years of experience collecting and analyzing data to recommend innovative strategies
  • 5 years of experience creating and presenting executive style presentations to Senior Leadership
  • 4 years of experience in technology business strategies
  • 3 years of experience using analytical tools to develop data insights such as power query in excel and PowerBI
