GENERAL SUMMARY:

- Position: 20 hours per week, no weekends, no holidays and no on-call
- Shift: Days
- Location: Cottage, Grosse Pointe
- Benefits: Part Time Benefit Package

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning,
implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator.

Cottage is a 4 room Ambulatory OR with operational times of 7a-4p. The site covers a wide range of services such as:
- Ortho: Sports Medicine, Total hips and knees, Podiatry and Hand
- Plastics: Breast augmentation, Breast Reduction, Liposuction, Face lifts and laser surgery
- Ophthalmology: Cataract, Retinal and Ocular Plastic


The site is open Monday- Friday with no weekend, holiday or call requirement.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


  • - Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
    - One year of OR experience is required
    - Bachelors Degree preferred.
    - Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
    - Successful completion of HFMG Pharmacology test.
    - Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.
    - Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
    - Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
    - Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel.
    - Preferred experience in the specialty.
    - Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills

  • CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
    - Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
    - Current BLS or ACLS per HFHS policy
