We're looking for a Technical Services Coordinator to join our team at Meijer. This position will be responsible for providing overall business support by coordinating and managing activities required for successful deployment within our corporate, distribution centers, stores, and fuel centers.

This is a remote opportunity, but you must be located within one of our six footprint states: Michigan (Headquarters), Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio and Wisconsin. This position does not provide sponsorship, including OPT/Student Visas.

Project Management Skills:

  • Coordinates and manages activities required for successful deployment of projects at our corporate, distribution centers, stores, fuel centers and any business unit as required

  • Assists in purchasing and procurement process for hardware and software assets

  • Participates in Asset Lifecycle activities to ensure proper tracking of assets

  • Coordinates Risk Management activities to mitigate any risks that are identified

  • Communicates with key stakeholders regarding the status of project deployments

  • Coordinates and manages necessary resources and scheduling tasks

  • Participates in on-site activities where required including but not limited to; store pre-checks and grand openings

  • Coordinates and manages equipment staging and deployment

  • Automates repeatable manual tasks as appropriate

Technical Skills:

  • Coordinates, Implements, and configures vendor software applications

  • Assists in deployment of vendor software applications.

  • Optimizes packages to meet SLA/functional requirements.

  • Provides high-level technical consulting support on vendor applications and interfaces

  • Participates with other IT members, customers and other stakeholders in new product reviews, proof of concepts, pilots and full deployments/roll outs

  • Coordinates with ITS Security and Infrastructure teams to ensure secure deployment of vendor applications

  • Assists product owners in systems analysis and creation or updating of documentation for all business processes

  • Interfaces with the Product Owner and IT partners to develop acceptance criteria for projects features and user stories and ensures acceptance criteria are met

  • Works within the SAFe Agile framework and utilizes ITIL best practices

  • Actively participates in all team Agile ceremonies. This job role may also provide facilitation of activities for Agile teams within Meijer ITS as acting Scrum Master

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's or equivalent

  • Knowledge of project management best practices and techniques

  • Any SAFe certification (SSM, SASM, SA, SPC, SPMPO) preferred

  • Knowledge of agile practices

  • ITIL Foundations Certification preferred

  • Experience in retail environment, specifically hardware and familiarity with business systems

  • Business knowledge, with hands-on experience managing vendor packages for the business

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms

  • Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well on cross-functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks

  • Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs

  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence

  • Familiarity in business application design, development, installation, and modification processes

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity of secure code design principles and practices
