What you'll do:

This role will be responsible for the implementation, technical consultation, configuration and day-to-day support of HR systems and analytics, with the goal of leveraging technology and adopting best practices to improve overall HR efficiency and a high-quality customer experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct the day-to-day activities of all HRIS systems, in addition to auxiliary systems that support the HR function for processing, recordkeeping and communications.
- Research and analyze best practices and system designs to accomplish company objectives and established HR KPIs and metrics.
- Direct and maintain both a short-term and long-term comprehensive technology plan to address both operational and strategic HR and business needs.
- Responsible for the leading the coordination, creation and documentation of project test plans, including parallel, user acceptance and functional regression testing.
- Operate as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and a primary point of contact for UKG Dimensions, Cornerstone Learning Management System and other HR Systems.
- Assist with assessing upcoming releases for enhancements and new functionality. Assist in the configuration, testing, deployment, and stabilization of these releases.
- Lead a team of HRIS Analysts ensuring appropriate delegation of duties, proper training and collaboration in support of the business
- Partner with HR, IT, Operations and business leaders to develop a roadmap that aligns with business needs.
- Oversee and troubleshoot integrations with UKG, ERP and other relevant applications.
- Contribute to the vision and strategy for the future state of people analytics at Shyft, ensuring strong alignment with business objectives and practical application.
- Cultivate trusting relationships with the HR team and other cross-functional leaders that enable the successful delivery of accurate and insightful reports, dashboards and analytics.
- Oversee and assist with the design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of custom HRIS reports and dashboards, including but not limited to: headcount, diversity, attrition, performance, compensation, benefits, leaves and other people-team metrics. Provide reporting support to the Human Resources, Operations, Finance and other departments, as needed.
- Develop processes and tools to ensure accurate people data in our HR systems.
- Prepare necessary data for all people-related events and support additional ad-hoc, Perform regular data integrity audits to guarantee accuracy of all People-related reports, dashboards, and analytics, including ensuring the alignment with internal and external retention and compliance requirements.
- Empower business leaders to access meaningful real-time data through appropriate and sustainable security protocols.
- Document system design and processes for the training, reference, and education of employees on processes and system functionality. Assist with train-the-trainer sessions.
- Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops staff; manages schedules and workflow.
- Assigns duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations.
- Perform other work-related duties and tasks as assigned by management.

What you need to be successful:

- BS/BA in computer science, human resources, or relevant field.
- Minimum of eight years experience in the human resources and/or HR information systems field.
- Working knowledge of HR lifecycle processes such as hire to retire, talent management, annual compensation processes, leave of absence, etc.
- Experience with UKG Dimensions or Workforce Central (Timekeeping and HCM) preferred.
- Experience with learning management and applicant tracking systems preferred.
- Experience with General Ledger system configuration preferred.
- Advanced computer skills, including MS Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, and MS Project).
- Ability to apply HR functional knowledge to the HRIS environment to improve business processes and procedures.
- Outstanding communication skills and abilities.
- Experience managing acquisitions and divestitures would be a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills. Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy and strong organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
- Analytical Skills to work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and number crunching. Ability to see through the data and analyze it to find conclusions.
