The Extrusion Production team members are cross trained in multiple areas: Press Operator, Die Setter, Stretcher Operator, Caustic, Saw Operator and Saw Tail. The Extrusion Production crew works together as a team to produce quality product at the maximum rate and on time per the sales orders.

The Extrusion Production team wears required PPE: safety glasses, steel toe shoes, heat restive gloves, ear plugs and hard hats. In addition, the Die Setter wears protective green sleeves and the Caustic Operator wears a face shield, rubber gloves, and rubber apron. The team works safely to ensure that employees do not incur bodily harm. The team uses care and respect to ensure that tooling, equipment and/or property is not damaged. The team works together to keep the extrusion area clean.

Position Requirements:
Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
Must be able to bend easily at the waist.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds regularly throughout shift.
Must be able to read a tape measure accurately.
Must be able to read work instructions.
Must be able to demonstrate basic math skills.
Must have basic computer skills.
Must be able to use small hand tools, including hammers, screw drivers, etc.
Must be able to read micrometers and calipers.


Preferred experience:
One or more years of manufacturing experience.
Demonstrated 5S and Lean practice.
