Job Summary/Basic Function
Maintains grounds/landscape on campus sites for proper college appearance and safety, including but not limited to lawns, planters, tree areas, walkways, drives. Provides general maintenance and custodial services for students, faculty and staff. Sets ups for special events.
Minimum Qualifications
* High School diploma or GED
* Ability to work without direct supervision.
* Ability to operate power equipment.
* Ability to perform manual labor
* Valid drivers' license.
Preferred Qualifications
* Associates degree
* Experience in building custodial and grounds keeping operations.
* Ability to operate heavy and power equipment.
* Fork truck operator certification.
* Knowledge of lawn care, pruning/trimming/planting of trees and shrubs and safety operations of related equipment.
* Ability to work as a team player.

General cleanup of buildings and grounds.

Snow removal, shoveling, and snow blower operation.

Operate tractor and salt truck / spreader.

Snow removal and grounds care using lawn mowers/tractors/chainsaw.

saws/trimmers/plows and snow blowers.

Maintains pumps and sprinkler systems.

Plants grass, flowers, trees and shrubs.

Trims and maintains trees and shrubbery.

Reports hazardous situations after taking emergency steps to ensure safety.

Moving of campus equipment/office furniture.

Refueling grounds vehicles and equipment and performing minor maintenance.

Assisting in setups/takedowns for college events (Graduation ect.).

Picking up and delivery of items for college community (paper, pianos ,furniture ect.).

Complete work order duties assigned from Director of Facilities.
Job Duty
Cleaning of campus buildings, mainly Maintenance, shipping/rec., welding lab, and Issues & Answers buildings.

Any other duties as assigned
