Responsible for leading a range of moderate transactions relating to the several defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans of Corewell Health. Will establish process improvement and recommendations. Attention to detail and project management skills within this position will solidify a positive outcome for the functional needs of department. Including but not limited to; directly supports the day-to-day of the System Retirement Team and is responsible for assisting with the administration of all retirement plans and programs, and any add hoc projects. Will also assume all duties of the Associate Specialist, Benefits - Retirement role. Provides a high level of retirement plan expertise when engaging withteam Members, vendors and other areas of HR as needed.
Essential FunctionsResponds to retirement inquires internally, externally or on general inquiries and with the use of the Workday notification portal & Service Now case management system. Upholds the Retirement team's employee/knowledge management portal while working with communications or stakeholders on impacted updates or changes to drive team member education.
Assists with day to day tasks of retirement team by reviewing data to be used in defined benefit pension calculations. This will include reviewing data, analyzing data, inputting data, reporting data and collaboration with Actuaries, HRIS, Payroll, Benefits and other HR areas to ensure accuracy of data to be used for pension calculations
Within the function you will us the multi-step problem skills to analyze, review defined contribution retirement plan data while upholding the accuracy of the team members enrollment elections.
Facilitates distribution/creation of employee resources related to retirement materials. IE: E-blasts, printed, mailed, posted electronically or within a vendor partnership.
Partners in compliance/risk mitigation strategies, assumption of a role within all audits and ensures data integrity to the best of their ability for all process changes implemented within retirement operationd data flow. Ongoing review to ensure plans remain in compliance with IRS and DOL rules.
Assists or leads Retirement Orientations and Onboarding sessions
Assist with copying and scanning data of as needed by retirement team to complete tasks as needed. Will need to be flexible in order to assist the retirement team with whatever tasks are required for the retirement team to be successful in accomplishing the completion of team's workload. The position will assist the System Retirement Team across the entire organization.
