Summary:

The Production Clerk position involves a variety of tasks such as visual inspection and sorting of material, loading machinery, setting up jobs, and assisting operators, alongside packaging, weighing, and stacking materials accurately and timely. Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and a dedication to maintaining high-quality production standards. Compliance with customer specifications and a proactive approach to tasks are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs visual and/or manual inspection to determine if part is meeting quality standards using measuring tools or fixtures as needed
  • Complete required paperwork
  • Assist operators in operations
  • Load, unload, and pack/band product for the forklift
  • Follow Customer Supplied Manual for packaging and skidding
  • Perform various tasks throughout the day to ensure safe and quality production
  • Count and label parts accurately
  • Recognize and address quality issues
  • Performs miscellaneous tasks throughout plant to ensure safe, efficient and quality production

Desired Experience & Skills:

  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to read tape measures
  • Strong work ethic and self-starter attitude
  • Must be physically able to access all areas of the plant and grounds.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours a day), exert physical effort, and work in extreme temperatures (seasonal high heat/cold exposure)
  • Follow verbal and written instructions accurately
  • Manufacturing experience, but not required
  • Safety first mindset
  • Team-player

Requirements:

  • Must follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Must be physically able to access all areas of the plant and grounds.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours a day), exert physical effort, and work in extreme temperatures (seasonal high heat/cold exposure)
  • Follow verbal and written instructions accurately
  • Must be able to work on any shift or shift rotation as required.
  • Competent in basic math and computer skills
