Clinic Director - Pediatric Physician

Corewell Health Children's is seeking a dedicated Pediatric physician to fulfill the role of Clinic Director for the Corewell Health East Pediatric Residency Clinic. This full-time position encompasses both clinical and leadership responsibilities within a dynamic healthcare environment.

The residency clinic is the primary outpatient teaching site for 24 Pediatric residents and16 MedPeds residents. The Clinic Director will oversee all aspects of resident education, including didactic sessions, clinical evaluations, and research/quality improvement projects, as well as supervise and organize the 4th year medical student rotations within the clinic. The Director will provide clinical supervision and guidance to residents, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and will provide high-quality care directly to patients when residents are unavailable for patient care. Essential to this position is the ability to facilitate a cohesive and supportive work environment and to collaborate with clinic team members, including employed and contingent faculty, Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, and front desk staff. To enhance the overall effectiveness of clinic operations and patient care delivery, the Director will manage the scheduling of residents and faculty to ensure optimal coverage and will engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives. The Director will also serve as a liaison between the clinic and external stakeholders (including community organizations and healthcare networks) and contribute to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to advance the mission and goals of Corewell Health Children's.

Qualifications:

1. Medical degree from an accredited institution and board certification in Pediatrics.

2. Active medical license and eligibility for licensure in the state of practice.

3. Completion of an accredited Pediatric residency program.

4. Demonstrated clinical expertise and commitment to providing compassionate care to pediatric patients.

5. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively mentor and supervise resident physicians.

6. Experience in medical education, including curriculum development and evaluation, preferred.

7. Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

8. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

9. Commitment to serving underserved populations and promoting health equity within the community.
