Job Description

RN - Ambulatory Sleep Medicine -- Sterling Heights (3500 15 mile Rd)

Full Time Day Shift. Clinic hours are 7:30am - 4pm - 8 hour shifts Monday - Friday

Leadership skills, team player, good communication skills, multitasker & proficient with EPIC. Previous Clinic RN experience and/or EPIC in-basket experience preferred but will consider inpatient RN experience. Minimum of 1 year RN experience.

Responsibilities include: Oversee In-basket, medication refills, triage patients, assist MA's with Home Sleep Study Scheduling, rooming patients, etc. Be a good resource for the MA's. Generally 2 - 4 providers in clinic daily.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation. Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel. Preferred experience in the specialty. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy. Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
