Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Transportation Drainage Engineer, we'll count on you to:

  • Work as a key member of a highway/roadway design team for moderate to large projects and work independently on smaller projects
  • Conduct transportation drainage analysis including storm drain design, erosion control and scour protection.
  • Prepare and support the development of the following elements of various sizes of contract plans, specifications and estimates: drainage structures sections, temporary erosion control plans, site preparation plans, drainage plans and profiles, and drainage reports.
  • Support the development of both large and small scale hydrologic and hydraulic assessment for transportation projects.
  • Support marketing efforts including client capture planning and proposal development.
  • Conduct field assessment of drainage infrastructure and watershed characteristics.
  • Perform other duties as needed #LI-JF1

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • PE
  • 5+ years design experience
  • Experience in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis
  • Proficiency in HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS and other drainage design platforms
  • Experience in GIS
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Autodesk Civil 3D or other design software as appropriate
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in hydrology and hydraulics
  • Experiernce in drainage pavement analysis.
  • CFM or ability to acquire
  • PM Experience
